Project name: Enhancing and implementing Knowledge based ICT solutions within high Risk and Uncertain Conditions for Agriculture Production Systems. This project is coordinated by the University of Liverpool in the UK. It includes 16 participants from 5 EU countries: France, Italy, Poland, Spain and UK. Three other partners from Argentina and Chile are also contributing to this project.
Most recently on August 28th, 2019, an International Workshop took place in the University of Liverpool Management School, involving participant from the H2020 RUC-APS project (www.ruc-aps.eu), which consider a unique University Of Liverpool Cross Faculty involvement such as: Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, Faculty of Science & Engineering and the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences. In addition to this, Industry partners from UK, coming from the Royal Agricultural Society of England with their Innovation for Agriculture representative and the Lucana Agriculture Agency from Italy also got involved in this event.
Following this Deborah was seconded to ISPA-CNR in Italy to work with colleagues there looking at the production of table grapes, olives and vegetables plus their supply chain and post -harvest research. We are helping with research into adapting to climate change and mitigating risk to growers as well as learning more about diverse crops and irrigation systems in different climates.
